Clinical supervision is available for mental health practitioners (recent graduates or LCMHCAs) pursuing licensure in North Carolina or for current mental health practitioners seeking Consultation. Supervision is offered weekly and can be held in person or via secure, encrypted video sessions.
An initial 30 minute consultation is offered at no charge for us to discuss your clinical goals and experience, review my supervision approach, and to ensure that this will be a good fit for us both. After we decide to work together, we will create a Supervision Contract to submit to the NCBLCMHC (North Carolina Board for Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors). After they have received and approved the contract, we can begin our regular supervision sessions.
NCBLCMHC requires that supervisees undergo 100 hours of clinical supervision, at the rate of 1 hour of supervision per every 40 hours that the supervisee works. Supervision also involves the review of your counseling sessions, either via live observations or video recordings. We will co-construct your goals for supervision and check in regularly about how the supervision process is working for you.
Please visit the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors website (www.ncblcmhc.org) for more information about licensure requirements.
I am also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and am able to offer play therapy supervision to those seeking licensure or those pursuing a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Please visit the Association for Play Therapy (www.a4pt.org) for more information on play therapy and play therapy trainings, educational opportunities, and credentialing and supervision information.
Supervision sessions are offered at $120/hour. A reduced rate can be offered for group supervision sessions.
